Sunday Morning Adult Bible Class: Book of Hebrews

Join us on Sunday mornings at 9:20-10:15 (fellowship hall in the basement) as we study the book of Hebrews. We are exploring how Hebrews is a wonderful explanation of how Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of the Old Testament prophecies and the fulfillment of the Old Testament worship practices. We also examine how the book itself was actually a sermon preached within the New Testament worship assembly of the Christian believers. Hope to see you there!

Welcome to Worship Class (for all prospective new members)

Central to the make-up of our congregation is our worship life. Understanding our worship life gives direction to our daily life. Knowing how God serves us with his Word and sacraments allows us to go out into our community and world to serve others in the name of Jesus Christ. Therefore Zion asks all prospective new members (and invites any current members) to go through this process in order to understand and rejoice in the distinct nature of our worship and faith life at Zion and thus partner with us as we endeavor to be witnesses to Jesus Christ to those in our community, those in our lives and "even to the ends of the earth" (Acts 1:8).

Communicant Membership Class (for those joining our congregation from another denomination)

What Lutherans believe and teach about Word of God is distinct from all other Christians. The Lutheran teachings on the Lord’s Supper is certainly no different. We believe the Lord’s Supper is a life-giving blessing given by God to the Church. It is a miracle in bread and wine established by the God-man Jesus Christ. Those who attend will examine what the Scriptures and the Confessions have to say about Jesus’ gift of His true body to eat and His true blood to drink.
