About Zion

Zion Lutheran Church is located in the growing village of Mayer, Minnesota, on the western edge of metro Minneapolis.

Zion, established in 1883, is one of over 6,000 congregations affiliated with Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.

Zion has a heart for connecting people to Jesus. We believe that a relationship with Jesus Christ is the most important gift a person can receive. We offer this gift through worship, through education, fellowship, and service.

Historically, Zion has a deep commitment to education. We offer a Pre-School, Lutheran Elementary School, and a Lutheran High School, Sunday School, and also mid-week classes for children and youth who attend the public schools. In addition, there are classes for adults offered throughout the week.

Zion has a commitment to sharing Jesus' love through mission work, supporting missionaries around the world, promoting special mission projects, and offering mission trips for those who wish to have personal involvement in mission work.

There are many opportunities for fellowship, service and witnessing at Zion. We offer many ways to get involved in a significant way in making a difference in the lives of others.
