Preschool

Zion Preschool for 3- and 4-year-olds is held on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Three-year-olds meet in the mornings from 9 to 11 a.m. Four-year-olds have class in the afternoons from noon to 2:30 p.m.

General activities include time for opening/circle, Jesus, units, centers, snack, story/music, outside/gym, and clean-up.

Children entering Zion's Preschool must be three or four yearsold by Sept. 1 for their respective class.

Four-year-olds

There is a limit of 20 students, due to space and a good teacher/student ratio. When the class size reaches 13, an aide will assist in the classroom.

If the enrollment goes beyond 20, your child may be placed on a waiting list and you will be notified if someone cancels.

Preschool begins the first Tuesday after Labor Day. An open house will be held the week before school starts so your child can meet the teacher, see the classroom, and arrange any car pools needed amongst the parents.

A registration fee of $55 is due to hold a spot in the program. The monthly fee is $60 for the two-day program, payable to the school office by the first of each month.

Three-year-olds

There is a limit of 15 students. When the class size reaches 9, an aide will be assisting in the classroom. If the enrollment goes beyond 15, your child will be placed on a waiting list and you will be notified if someone cancels.

An open house will be held the week before school starts so your child can meet the teacher, the other children, see the classroom and arrange car pools.

We also request that the child be toilet-trained.

The format of our school program will build on the child's social, spiritual and physical skills. During our three year old program, we will focus mainly on the social skills and how the children relate to each other.

We will have Jesus time, story time, pyhsical activities, arts and crafts and special units. These special units deal with a variety of subjects.

Here are some examples: colors, fall, winter, the farm, nursery rhymes, shapes, numbers and bugs.

A registration fee of $55 should be sent in with the registration form. This assures a spot for your child in our Preschool. The monthly fee for the three-year-old classes is $55, and the four-year-old class is $60.
